There are lots of great day trips within an hour or two of Adelaide, here are some examples:
Relax at Henley Beach, walk along the beach and go for a walk through the parkland or try out one of the restaurants along the strip.

You can also see the nocturnal house which is open from 8:30-9:30 in the evening so you can experience a nocturnal environment. It’s only a 20 minute drive outside of Adelaide in Gumeracha.
If you are up for a road trip instead try heading further north through the Clare Valley or head west to explore some wineries in McLaren Vale . Or why not check out Kangaroo Island just off the coast which offers pristine landscapes, abundant wildlife and some great places to eat!
If you’re looking for something a bit more active check out the Aldinga skate park , with its large bowl and street course it’s perfect for boarders. Nearby you can explore the Aldinga Sculpture Park or walk along the beach at Aldinga Beach which is just 10 minutes drive south of the city centre.
